The Conservancy is supported through gifts and grants from many individuals and organizations, and we are grateful to them for helping us preserve and protect the beautiful and environmentally significant lands of the Piedmont. There are many ways to give to support our mission and we welcome your support in whatever way you wish to be involved.
Become a Member
Your membership makes all the difference for PLC! Membership contributions, large and small, help support our day-to-day operations, foster our conservation work with landowners, and enable us to serve as the leading voice in local land preservation. Our members also receive wonderful benefits including our quarterly newsletter, invitations to hikes and outings, and our PLC car decal. Give the Gift of Membership

Honor and Memorial Gifts
To recognize or memorialize those you love with a special tribute gift, especially those who have helped to build and sustain our communities in PLC’s nine-county area, an honor or memorial gift to the Conservancy is the perfect answer. Honor or memorial gifts may be made in any amount. For each honor or memorial gift, we notify the recipient or family as appropriate, and will include their name in our annual report. Honor and Gift Cards
Give a special gift of land protection with our beautiful holiday honor cards or our special note cards that feature some of the special scenes of the Piedmont. Your purchase is tax deductible and the cards make wonderful gifts! Coming Soon.
Outright Gifts of Assets
Your outright gift of assets is a wonderful way to help us preserve the beauty and livability of our communities. Significant gifts of assets may be given as cash, appreciated securities, real estate, or life insurance policies. Many of these types of gifts offer attractive tax advantages for donors. Deferred Gift Opportunities
Many of our donors have chosen to support the Conservancy with planned bequests, willed easements, or through the establishment of charitable trusts. You may wish to consult your attorney or advisor for additional information about the tax benefits of such arrangements which can significantly reduce estate taxes while simultaneously helping us to protect and preserve our parks, farms, rivers, greenways, and historic lands.
