Your participation as a member of PLC is vital to the future preservation of the Piedmont’s most treasured lands. Membership support helps to cover the Conservancy’s operating program and educational expenses and allows PLC to accomplish these important activities:

  • Work with owners of important tracts to encourage them to protect their land;
  • Coordinate hundreds of volunteers who conduct site visits on our protected lands and easements, build trails, and serve as guides for our outings;
  • Inventory each county in the region and work for the protection of those properties with significant natural heritage features; and
  • Raise awareness of open space issues among the general public and our membership family.

Membership levels begin at $35 and are renewable annually

Members receive our quarterly newsletter and outings schedule, are invited to special events and celebrations on some of our beautiful protected sites, and receive regular updates on important conservation and land preservation issues facing communities throughout our nine-county region. Through attendance at our events, members have the opportunity to meet hundreds of like-minded citizens who are truly interested in preserving and protecting our region’s precious land resources. (By the way, memberships make great gifts for friends who care about the environment!)

Working in partnership with our 1300 members, PLC has protected over 16,000 acres in the last decade. Please join us today to help us save the best of our lands in Alamance, Caswell, Forsyth, Greensboro, Randolph, Rockingham, Surry, Stokes and Yadkin counties.
